“Earth’s Shadows Fly” is a small series which consists of three versions of three images. It was created as part of a residency at Artscape Gibraltar Point on the Toronto Islands. In this series images of our solar system taken by the Hubble Space Telescope were used to create digital negatives. Using daylight as a light source, the images were exposed onto black and white gelatin silver paper during sunrise or sunset, which were the only times that the light was weak enough to be used.  The contact print was then processed in a traditional wet darkroom.

Three photographs from "Earth's Shadows Fly" were included in the exhibition "New Work: Alternative Processes" at the Gallery 44 Production Gallery in 2018.
